Jeux de l'Acadie
Jeux de l'Acadie

AcajouxSince the 10th Finale of the Jeux de l'Acadie in 1989 in Shippagan, New Brunswick, Acajoux, a grey hare with an athletic build and friendly look, has reigned as the official mascot of the Jeux de l'Acadie. On one of his costumes, in Acadian colours, he proudly wears the names of the nine participating regions. He also has different costumes depending on the occasion.

Designed by Steve Ouellette of St. Jacques and baptized by Michelle Godin of Beresford, Acajoux is there to inspire courage in athletes of all disciplines, and from all regions. Being himself an accomplished athlete, he demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship and encourages young people to do the same.

Well-loved and highly recognized in the Acadian community, Acajoux never tires of encouraging athletes and loves to have fun. In 1995, Acajoux received a makeover thanks to the skill of the artist Serge Richard and he is very proud of it. Do not miss the opportunity to greet Acajoux.

The year 2013 marks Acajoux's 24th Birthday.
